Rafael holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He is a CPA with more than twelve years of experience. Prior to founding Putney Capital Management, he started his professional career at Arthur Andersen first as an auditor and later as a Senior Consultant where he had coverage and execution responsibility for some of the firm’s most important clients throughout various industries such as banking, telecommunications and healthcare. After the collapse of Andersen, he worked as Executive Assistant to the President of the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico, handling the privatization process for the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewage Authority (PRASA) and later being named Controller of PRASA, supervising the operation of the aqueduct system. He then returned to the private sector as a Manager at Ernst & Young for the healthcare industry in the Southeast Region of the USA. In 2004, he co-founded Barreto Velez, PSC to provide consulting and internal auditing services for multiple industries in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
Paul holds an Industrial Engineer degree as well as an M.I.B. from Florida International University. He has more than 16 years of experience in the industrial production process and logistic. Before joining Putney he worked as a procurement and logistics director at Refrescos Nacionales (Coca-Cola, Dominican Republic) and Coca-Cola Latin Center Global Procurement Board.
Since 2010 He has a mandate to expand the assets under management thru out the LATAM region, He is concentrate on M&A transactions, identifying and capturing synergies participating in the integration process.
Ricardo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico. He also holds a master of business administration degree in management of information systems from Kent State University. With more than 15 years of experience, Ricardo is an expert in technology application and process re-engineering. Prior to joining Putney, he worked at Arthur Andersen as a business consultant. He then worked as CIO and COO of the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico. He served as CIO of the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewage Authority (PRASA) where he later became regional director. Ricardo held the position of CIO of Medical Card Systems and later worked as Senior Vice-President at Doral Bank in Puerto Rico.
José Miguel Aquino is a finance professional with more than 17 years of experience in financial analysis and corporate finance, specializing in financial management, business valuation and asset management.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from INTEC and a Master's Degree in International Business with a specialization in Finance from the International University of Florida; both degrees obtained with honors.
Additionally, he has achieved courses focused on the financial area and private capital management in institutions such as BARNA, the University of Chicago, Harvard Business School, Northwestern University and the Instituto Empresa.
He has been a professor for Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE).
