With over 25 years of experience in the financial, insurance and agroindustrial sectors, Ricardo has played a pivotal role for 15 years in shaping Putney Capital Management into a prominent private equity fund with a portfolio exceeding US$500 million in assets under management. As Chairman of the Strategy and Investment Committee for the INICIA Agribusiness and EniAgri funds, Ricardo drives strategic initiatives. Additionally, he serves on the boards of CCAEI, SPBE, ICC, ENDULZZA, CAEI, and CAII and represents the sugar assets in INAZUCAR.
Before joining INICIA, Ricardo held senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Doral Financial Corporation, and Vice President of Information Technology at MCS Puerto Rico.
Ricardo earned an MBA from Kent State University in Ohio, USA with a focus on Management of Information Systems, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ricardo is a co-founder of “Por La Medalla,” a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting high-performance athletes in pursuit of their dreams.
